FUTURE PROJECTS
1. Doughty & Mathis Colonia Grant South Kossuth Sewer Project – This is one of two joint projects with Aransas County as the grant recipient and the City providing sewer services. The $315,000 project would provide first-time sewer service to the Doughty & Mathis Colonia in the City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction, specifically the 600 and 800 blocks of South Kossuth by installing 1,048 linear feet of 12” sewer line, manholes, pavement repair, etc. Aransas County is working with the Texas Department of Agriculture’s (TDA) Colonia Planning and Construction Fund through the CDBG Program.
2. Doughty & Mathis Colonia Grant 8th Street Sewer Project – This is a second joint project with Aransas County. The $1,050,000 project would provide first-time sewer service to the Doughty & Mathis Colonia, specifically on Doughty, Kossuth, Verne, and Fuqua Streets from about the Ruby Allen Ditch to Eight Street by installing a lift station, 8,700 linear feet of 8” and 10” sewer line, 1,300 linear feet of 6” force main, manholes, pavement repair, etc. This also uses TDA Colonia Planning and Construction Funds.
