The Municipal Clerk has several responsibilities and duties as set out by the Election Code and some other duties assigned by the Rockport Charter and Ordinances.
The next City of Rockport City Election is Saturday, May 1, 2027 — this is the first Saturday in May and the standard uniform election date for local elections in odd-numbered years such as 2027.Some other duties include:
- Building and maintaining trust in the Election process through transparency and assuring all rules and regulations are followed.
- Build a working relationship with the Election Administrator.
- Encourage voter turnout.
