Our Pledge

To serve the City of Rockport residents and visitors by providing the highest standard of Parks & Recreation facilities and programs, efficiently, professionally and safely.

What We Do

We maintain all city parks, the Rockport Community Pool, athletic courts and fields, hike and bike trails, playgrounds, picnic sites, restrooms, rental facilities, a 2.6 acre freshwater pond and various city-owned sites, and we provide services to the Downtown Heritage and Cultural Arts District. We also sponsor several run/walks throughout the year.

This department manages and operates the Rockport Community Pool, in addition to administering park concessions and exclusive-use agreements.

Our department presents, and assists in presenting, a variety of community-focused programs and events, while also serving as city liaison to the Keep Aransas County Beautiful Committee and Aransas Pathways.
